History
Mr. Burns said to Señor Spielbergo that he should do for him what Spielberg did for Oskar Schindler. Spielbergo looked doubtful and said, "Schindler es bueno, Señor Burns es el diablo." Burns became angry and said to him at Schindler and he are like peas in a pod, we're both factory owners, we both made shells for the Nazis, but mine worked so go out win me that festival.
Behind the Laughter
- Burns is referring to the critically acclaimed 1993 film Schindler's List, directed and co-produced by Steven Spilberg.
- "We both made shells for the Nazis" refers to the fact that many of the Jews Schindler employed worked in ammunition factories, located in occupied Czechoslovakia. Schindler, despite being appalled by the treatment of the Jews, was a Nazi.
