History
In 1789, while the Bounty was waiting in the harbor to disembark on its journey, Admiral Nelson, aboard the H.M.S. Victory, sent a message to the Bounty's captain, William Bligh. After his first mate Fletcher Christian told him that he had a message, he read it and it was "Bligh eats dolphin boogers", to which Nelson laughed at a distance (this was a reference to his later signal of "England expects that every man will do his duty"). Bligh told Christian that when you eat as much dolphin as he does there's bound to be a booger or two in the mix, and set sail.
Admiral Nelson was renowned for his many victories against the French in the years following, such as Calvi (1794), Cape St. Vincent (1797), the Nile (1798), and finally, at Trafalgar (1805). His renowned victories gained him fame, notoriety, honor, and honors and awards. His death at Trafalgar was a huge loss for the Royal Navy, although the battle secured British naval dominance for decades. After his death, he has long been regarded as a British national and folk hero, with many ballads, books, and films dedicated to him.
He was based off of Nelson Muntz, and even used his signature "Ha Ha!" while giving his message to Bligh.
