Matt Dillon is the U.S. Marshal of Dodge City, Kansas, and the main character of Gunsmoke.
History
Matt Dillon said to Maggie "Can't let you do it, can't let you break my record" just before engaging her in a Fast draw. Maggie shot first, killing him.
Behind the Laughter
- The opening scene is a parody of Gunsmoke's opening and references how the show surpasses Gunsmoke's previous record with this episode.
