When Ralph was visiting Krusty's Poetry Korner after he had written My Cat Hates Showers‎, Krusty said that a lot of people are calling him the most exciting American poet since Kerouac.[1]

Lisa also keeps a book of his book On the Road on a bookshelf, next to of Allen Ginsberg's work, Victor Hugo's novel Les Miserables, and a collection of poems by Edgar Allan Poe.[2]
