Lucy Carbunkle is a fictional character from the television show I Lost Lucy.
History[edit]
During one episode her boss visited her grave and said that they really needed her at the bank because Robert Wagner was coming to open an account. At this her skull rose up out of the grave, frightened her boss, and was then carried off by a crow.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The dates on the gravestone (1911-1989) correspond to Lucille Ball's actual lifespan.
- While the program's title is an obvious wordplay on I Love Lucy, the character Lucy Carbunkle is a reference to Lucille Ball's character in The Lucy Show, whose last name was Carmichael and who worked at a bank.
