History[edit]

A picture of Napoleon appeared on the front of the car "Napoleon Blown-Apart."[1] Among the artworks hanging on the walls at the Springfield Metropolitan Museum is Napoleon Crossing the Alps by Jacques-Louis David.[2]

Lisa went to Moe's Tavern on her 14th birthday to plead with Homer to give up drinking or Marge would leave him in a flash-forward of Lisa's Harvard admission essay. Next door to Moe's Tavern was King Toot's Music Store, renamed King Toot's Music Store and Time-Travel Emporium, where Napoleon Bonaparte walked out the front door.[3]

The memorial reel of cars lost in the past week at the Springfield Demolition Derby included "Napoleon Blow-apart," featuring an angry Napoleon Bonaparte on the hood.[4]

A bottle of Gevrey-Chambertin Wine once owned by Napoleon was purchased by Mr. Burns. According to Smithers, Napoleon fought the Battle of Austerlitz just for the bottle.[5]

Herman once offered to sell Nelson a hanky used by Napoleon Bonaparte.[6]

Mr. Burns listed Napoleon as one of the authority figures he liked to portray in costume.[7]
