J. D. Salinger was an American author, most famous for his signature novel The Catcher in the Rye. Following the book's success Salinger became a recluse for the rest of his life.
History
Mrs. Krabappel read an article in Springfield Magazine titled "We Talk With J. D. Salinger".[1]
He wrote an episode of Hunch that the Simpsons Family watched.[2]
The Super Fan's Unofficial Guide to Thicker than Waters contains a foreword by J. D. Salinger.[3]
