History

Marge stars as Blanche DuBois in Oh, Streetcar! a musical version of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire.[1]

When Candace told Homer that she was an author, Homer told her that he thought she was a pharmacist. She then told him that Tennessee Williams worked in a shoe factory.[2]

When trying to get Homer to ease up his punishment of Bart not being allowing to ever see "The Itchy & Scratchy Movie" Lisa pleas Bart "has the demented melancholy of a Tennessee Williams heroine."[3]

Itchy & Scratchy's cartoon is named The Glass Moan-agerie which is a reference to The Glass Menagerie. the title of one of his plays.[4]
