Francis Scott Key was an American lawyer, author, and amateur poet, who was most famous for writing the United States' national anthem.

History[edit]

Bart once did an oral report about Francis Scott Key, where he said he was a rock star and that he wrote the national anthem because he needed something to get his fans back when they started listening to British music during the ongoing war.[1]

A song by Ted Nugent includes the lyrics "suck on that, Francis Scott Key."[2]
