The learned pervert read the book Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen for the "Mile-High Book Club" that he, Professor Pocket Pool, and Miss Hoover were part of.[2]

In an interview with Lisa, she said her favorite prose writers were Jane Austen, Willa Cather, and the anonymous, ink-stained tortured wretch who wrote the Happy Little Elevers Teeny Tiny Library of Itty Bitty Books series.[3]

Jane Austen is element Au in Lisa's Table of Geeky Delights.[4]
