Sakai was among the Moe's Tavern customers listening to Homer tell his story of being a mascot for the Springfield Isotopes.[1]
He sang in the karaoke bar at the Happy Sumo restaurant. He sang "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves," which he dedicated to his wife, Pattie.[2]
Richie Sakai attended the town hall meeting to decide what to do with $3 million that Mr. Burns was forced to pay.[3]
He later appeared in Sideshow Bob's campaign ad as one of the convicts escaping from the revolving door prisons.[4]
He was mentioned in a long list of jazz musicians. He played the vibraphone.[5]
