Lyndon Baines Johnson (also known by his initials LBJ) was the 36th President of the United States, serving from 1963 to 1969. He was elected Vice President and served in that capacity under John F. Kennedy from 1961 to 1963; he then succeeded to the presidency when Kennedy was assassinated.

History[edit]

Santa's Little Helper was forced to watch a video with violent imagery during his training to be an attack dog for Mr. Burns. One of the images in the video showed Johnson picking up a dog by its ears.[1]

The tabloid TV show Rock Bottom at one point falsely claimed that Johnson had provided the voice of Yosemite Sam. The show later aired a correction, saying that was not the case.[2]

After Krusty the Clown "died" (it was later revealed that he had faked his death), Bart saw a man on the street who resembled Krusty and told Marge about it. Marge, however, didn't believe him, saying that "Sometimes when people die, you just want them to be alive so badly you see them everywhere." She then added that she had gone through the same thing when Lyndon Johnson passed away.[3]

Homer compared Bart's childish behavior to that of "LBJ, y'know towards the end".[4]

Before Bart developed an interest in Theodore Roosevelt, Superintendent Chalmers showed him an illustration of all the Presidents. Bart was only able to identify a few of the Presidents, and LBJ was not one of them.[5]

An animatronic of Lyndon B. Johnson was seen in the Hall of Vice Presidents at Kissimmee St. Nick Theme Park and Resort.[6]
