Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch painter.
History[edit]
van Gogh appeared (via reenactment) in an episode of Unsolved Mistaken Amputations watched by the Simpson family. The episode was set in Arles, France in 1888. Van Gogh was getting a haircut, but the barber accidentally cut his ear.[1]
A display of van Gogh paintings stopped outside of KBBL Radio during the How Low Will You Go? competition. The rioters flipped the van over.[2]
Lisa bought Vincent van Gogh's "Self-Portrait with Straw Hat" from the bankruptcy sale.[3]
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Van Gogh was missing the lower part of his left ear in real life. While there is a general consensus among historians that he cut it off himself, there are some who believe otherwise. Unsolved Mistaken Amputations is a tongue-in-cheek alternative explanation for what happened to his ear.
