Pneumatica, real name Camellia Kane, is the mother of Claude Kane III and an enemy of Radioactive Man. She also has her own comic book.[1]

History[edit]

As Camellia Kane[edit]

In the 1940s, Camellia Kane was on a secret mission for the government, with Camellia claiming it was an around-the-world flight as a cover. Her plane was then shot down by the Japanese over the South Pacific. She survived the crash and was found by Dr. Crab, who took her back to Berlin and transplanted her brain into a robot, Pneumatica. She was then brainwashed by Dr. Crab to become evil.

Her plane was never found but her husband, Claude Kane II, went looking for her anyway. As he was about to give up, Claude Kane II found traces of her plane and found research notes about Camellia's ordeal.[2]

As Pneumatica[edit]

Camellia Kane became Pneumatica, the world's most dangerous female robot. She became an enemy of Radioactive Man.

When looking for Dr. Crab one day, Radioactive Man found Pnemuatica and fought against her, with her ending up under a pile of rubble. She later got caught up in Dr. Crab's Regresso Ray, which gave her her memories back. As Radioactive Man was about to attack her, his father stopped him and Radioactive Man realized it was his mother.[2]

At some point, the government made a bigger, more dangerous version of Pneumatica, called Nega-Pneumatica.[3]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Her first name and parts of her backstory are parodying aviatrix Amelia Earhart who disappeared over the Pacific Ocean in 1939 at age 39 during her final attempt at a round-the-world flight.
