Sinister Van Dalus is a supervillain and enemy of the Superior Squad.
History[edit]
Van Dalus was originally a chimp who got caught in the tail of a meteor. This led to him gaining immortality and evolving into Sinister Van Dalus.
The Superior Squadron defeated Sinister Van Dalus and captured him. However, due to the fact that the villain was immortal and always escaped from containment, they didn't know what to do with him. Plasmo used a spell to render him helpless and banished him to the cosmos, which he thought would contain the villain for good. However, Van Dalus managed to escape. Van Dalus found a world where all the people of his universe were fictional characters in a comic book and brought three people into his world to help him: Willis Cameron Wendall, Joe Jeffs, and Brant Garrison. These three comic creators helped Plasmo escape. In their universe, Van Dalus was a character created by Gordon Farr, who had dreams about Van Dalus, which resulted from him tuning into the frequency of Van Dalus' world.
With the help of the comic creators, Van Dalus defeated the Superior Squadron and held them captive. He then held a meeting with other supervillains, including Dr. Crab, Madame Eczema, Hypnotic Head, and Larceny Lass, and put himself in charge of them. The other villains weren't happy with this, and Van Dalus told the comic creators to write about them. However, before they could do this, the Springfield Super-Squadron arrived to defeat Van Dalus and save the Superior Squadron. Van Dalus tried to escape, but The Ingestible Bulk had eaten his jetcraft. The now-free Superior Squadron and the Springfield Super-Squadron defeated and captured Van Dalus again. The villain was then trapped inside an issue of Interminable Crisis in the "real world", which was sealed in a plastic slab, never to be opened again.
A thousand years later, Philip J. Fry opened the copy of Interminable Crisis and read it. Fry started to get the urge to free Van Dalus, but Leela dragged him away as they had work to do.
