History

Claude Kane III

In the Golden Age, Radioactive Man was known as Radio Man. Radio Man didn't have a lightning bolt sticking out of his head and had control over radio waves. Claude Kane III became Radio Man when a mysterious radio repairman in the subway gave him his powers.[1]

Radio Man went off with the rest of the Superior Squad to defeat Adolf Hitler in the war.[2]

Radioactive Man once turned back into Radio Man when Dr. Crab, who was then going by the name of Prawn, used his Regresso Ray to make him human again. Radioactive Man got caught in the rays and turned into Radio Man. Dr. Crab then tried to use his Airwave Silencer to shut down all televised and radio media, but Radio Man bounced the airwaves back, destroying the machine. He then knocked Dr. Crab out.

Radioactive Worm then mind controlled Radio Man, having orchestrated the entire plan with the Regresso Ray to get Radioactive Man as Radio Man. The lightning bolt in Radioactive Man's head meant that Radioactive Worm couldn't mind control him. As Radioactive Worm was explaining his evil plan, Radio Man tripped over the body of Dr. Crab and fell on the Regresso Ray. This broke it and Radio Man returned to Radioactive Man.[1]

Clarence Kane

Clarence Kane was also Radio Man. Radio Man attempted to stop Cap'n Bolt from kidnapping Floyd Kelly and Socko, but only saved Socko, the puppet. He later helped to lay a trap with Glenda Grand of WZEN News, by being interviewed by Glenda on radio. Cap'n Bolt then attacked and kidnapped the two of them. Radio Man then used his powers to interrupt radio broadcasts and inform the police with what was happening. He then broke out of the chains holding him and defeated Cap'n Bolt.[3]
