Geoffrey Chaucer was an English poet from the Middle Ages, best known as the Father of English literature. He was the first poet to be buried at Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey.

History[edit]

While building a model depicting the inside of Westminster Abbey (a project that Bart was supposed to do), Homer fell asleep and dreamed he met Geoffrey Chaucer's ghost. Chaucer told Homer that he was doing the right thing in doing all of Bart's work for him, as it was the best thing for the boy. Next, Anne of Cleves appeared and told Homer that was terrible advice; Homer's doing everything for Bart meant that he would never learn to do anything for himself. Oscar Wilde then appeared, quoting some of his most famous sayings, annoying Homer.
