Charles Lindbergh, also known as Lucky Lindy, was an American pilot who in 1927 flew the Spirit of St. Louis in the First solo, nonstop transatlantic flight from Long Island to Paris. He was the partner of Amelia Earhart in the Maddux Airlines.
History[edit]
During the final of the Soapbox Derby Race between Bart and Nelson the commentator said the world has not seen the likes of this since the French carried Lucky Lindy off on their shoulders from Le Bourget Field.[1]
In 1927, just as he was about to depart Long Island on his historic flight Charles Lindbergh grabbed Mr. Burns' childhood teddy bear Bobo out of the water to take with him and later threw Bobo into the cheering Parisian crowd where it was grabbed by Adolf Hitler.[2]
When the Simpson family slept at the Springfield Homeless Shelter,Homer Simpson talk about a crazy man that believe in Charles Lindbergh, and he said that something he saw was probably the best thing he had ever seen, although the idea was stolen from Amelia Earhart.[3]
In the Lisa Simpson's dream, she appears as Amelia Earhart and Bart Simpson as Charles Lindbergh.[4]
