History

He was attacking the Zenith City nuclear power plant with the rest of the Fossil Fuel Four. Together, The Fossil Fuel Four defeated and killed Radioactive Man.[1]

He shoots coal from his scepter.

Behind the Laughter

  • Old King Coal's name is a reference to the British nursery rhyme "Old King Cole". His appearance is similar to The Thing.
    • His name is also a reference to the name of a boss in the game Banjo-Tooie, which also refers to Old King Cole. Their appearance is also similar.
