Pierre Curie and his wife Marie were physicists–chemists famous for their pioneering research on radioactivity.
History[edit]
When Marge started to work at the power plant Lisa said that the family be just like Marie and Pierre Curie. Lisa explained that they discovered radium and they both died of radiation poisoning. Bart then imagines what happened, picturing they as giants and using radium-eyes destroying a Japanese city.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
On April 19, 1906, a rainy day in Paris, Pierre Curie slipped on a busy street and fell under a heavy horse-drawn wagon. He was killed instantly.
