History[edit]

The ghost of Elizabeth I

Marge told the kids that King Henry VIII's daughter, Elizabeth, became a queen.[1]

Queen Elizabeth I had been referred to by Lisa as one of her feminist heroes in one dream she had.[2]

Fiction[edit]

Queen Elizabeth I appeared in a story told by Marge Simpson.

In 1588, Queen Elizabeth I was told that she had to get a husband so she could have children to take over from her when she died. She was introduced to her suitors Prince Ralph of Austria and King Julio of Spain, both of who didn't impress Elizabeth. She was then introduced to Walter Raleigh, who brought her tobacco as a gift. Walter Raleigh and Queen Elizabeth I then entered a relationship with each other.

Queen Elizabeth I was later shocked to find that Walter and her lady-in-waiting, Lady Marjorie, were having a relationship with each other behind her back. Before Queen Elizabeth could deal with them, she was informed by Walsingham that the Spanish, led by King Julio, were attacking. Queen Elizabeth led her troops against the Spanish armada but it was looking bad for the English army. Walter Raleigh then accidentally set the English fleet on fire and the ships sailed into the Spanish armada, defeating it. Elizabeth I then knighted Walter Raleigh and let him and Lady Marjorie have a life together. She then said that she didn't need a husband as she had England.[3]
