Homer enthusiastically opted for Dewey when he saw polls predicting victory for Governor Dewey, but Dewey lost to Harry S. Truman. Lisa won the bet and thus got to choose their activity for Daddy-Daughter Day. She chose building homes for Habitat for Humanity alongside former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and George H. W. Bush.
