James Madison was the 4th President of the United States, serving from 1809-1817. At 5 feet, 4 inches (163 centimeters) he remains the shortest president.

Trevor Denman said to remember the good little people, like James Madison or Linda Hunt.[1]

A picture of him was seen in a book that Superintendent Chalmers showed Bart, before Bart developed an interest in Theodore Roosevelt.[2]

James Madison appears in Homer's dream to convinced Homer not to endorse the presidential candidacy of Ted Nugent. It was briefly affective until Homer discovers it was not a dream, but a professional look-alike hired by the rest of the family.[3]
