The monkey paw seller is a vendor from Marrakesh, Morocco.

History

Homer asked him for the monkey paw he was selling and he warned Homer that it would bring him misfortune. Homer bought it anyway and then when Marge asked him where he bought it from, Homer thought that his stall had gone, only to realize that he was looking in the wrong place and it was to his left a bit more.

He was once president of Algeria.[1]

When Homer overdosed on alcohol cold medicine, he passed out and dreamt he was in a world without beer, with help from Lisa he discovered beer was banned thousands of years earlier by a pharaoh. Homer convinced Barney Gumble (who was the mayor) to go with him to Egypt to uncover a stash of beer buried in the pharaoh's tomb. The monkey paw seller gave them a GPS that led them to the tomb.[2]
