Sir Francis Walsingham was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I.

History[edit]

Walsingham was with Queen Elizabeth I when she was met by suitors wanting to marry her. He told the Queen that she needed a husband so that she could have a son. Walsingham later ran to see the Queen when the Spanish armada was attacking. He was shocked when he saw her and thought that she was a monster at first before he realized it was the Queen. During the battle, Walsingham stood under a "mission accomplished" banner with the Queen. Walsingham said that it may be too early for the banner after he saw the Spanish fleet. When the English won the battle, Queen Elizabeth I said that she didn't need a husband as she had England. Walsingham then told her to keep telling herself that, not believing it.
