John Hancock was a prominent Patriot of the American Revolution. The first signer of the Declaration of Independence with his stylish signature visibly larger than the others lead in America for John Hancock to become an eponym for a signature.

History[edit]

Bart dreamed that he witnessed the signing of the Declaration of Independence but because it was snowing they ran out of the building to play in the snow instead, where Hancock wrote his name in the snow.[1]

The night after Homer met a look-alike of James Madison he dreamed that he said to John Hancock that he did not need insurance and to Sam Adams that he is sorry he made fun of his winter ale, before Marge woke him.[2]
