Lao Tzu was an ancient Chinese Philosopher.

When Lisa helped Bart play mini-golf she borrowed Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu from Springfield Library.[1]
A quote that Lisa used is one of Lao Tzu's: "great wisdom may resemble foolishness".[2]
