The Raven is a character from Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven who torments the narrator, representing his insanity for his deceased wife, Lenore. When Homer hears the tale, he imagines Bart as the Raven. Later, Homer is scared by the story and thinks he sees the Raven outside.
