―Slithers[src]

Slithers is Lord Montymort's loyal snake assistant.

History

When Montymort spied on Lisa Simpson at Springwart's School of Magicry and decided to capture her, Slithers suggested using Satan as a go-between, but Montymort declined, saying that he was ducking Satan. Montymort ended up recruiting Bart Simpson, who was eager to help.

Montymort's scheme to capture Lisa went awry, however, due to Bart's having a change of heart. Bart stabbed Montymort in his enchanted shin, which killed him, and Slithers was completely grief-stricken. To Bart's and Lisa's disgust, Slithers swallowed Montymort's body whole in typical snake fashion. Slithers sobbed throughout the process and said, "In death we shall be together always."

Behind the Laughter

  • Slithers is a parody of Lord Voldemort's pet snake, Nagini, in the Harry Potter book and movie series.
  • Slithers is also a parody of Waylon Smithers, and his name is a pun on Smithers' name.
