Paul Shaffer is a Canadian-American musician, actor, author, and comedian.
History
When the Simpson family arrive into Toronto there is a plaque at a bus station "Birthplace of Paul Shaffer".
Homer Simpson's favorite song, It's Raining Men, was written in 1979 by Paul Jabara and Paul Shaffer.
Behind the Laughter
- Shaffer is most famous for being David Letterman's talk-show bandleader and sidekick.
- Shaffer was in Toronto at Toronto which is around the corner from the Toronto Bus Terminal and grew up 855 miles (1376 km) away from Toronto in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
- The inside cover of the book, The Simpsons: One Step Beyond Forever! contains concept art of various objects from Seasons 13 and 14, including artwork of the sign seen at the bus stop.
