Character Information
|
George Meany was an American labor leader.
History
George Meany was a guest on an episode of The Krusty the Clown Show which aired on February 6, 1961. Krusty said they would be discussing collective bargaining agreements, and asked Meany if there was a labor crisis in America. Meany said, "Well, that depends what you mean by 'crisis'", and started to go into a fuller explanation of his answer.
The episode was repeated during the summer when Bart broke his leg and had to stay inside, but he very quickly became bored with the episode. Krusty, for his part, was not pleased at the prospect of showing "Klassic Krusty" reruns all summer.
