Alf Clausen (born March 28, 1941) is an American composer who has scored every episode of The Simpsons except for the 13 episodes of Season 1 and four early Season 2 episodes. He has been the sole composer on the show since 1992, with his first episode being "Treehouse of Horror". Clausen has scored or orchestrated music for more than 30 films and television shows, including Moonlighting, The Naked Gun, ALF, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota. He was also interviewed in The Simpsons: Access All Areas and The Simpsons: America's First Family.
