Description[edit]
Vela is a jazz singer like her ex-husband. She is noted for her tiny voice, which earned her the nickname of "That Big Lady With the Little Voice." Her standard classics include Walking Ugly, Too Bruised to Crouch, and Get Off My Lap, Jack!
History[edit]
Vela and her husband got divorced, but she still used the last name "Murphy" in a professional capacity, as when she performed at the Springfield Jazz Hole.
