Metallica is a heavy metal band.

History[edit]

When Kent Brockman interviewed people who were queueing to pay their taxes, he asked Otto why he waited till the last minute to pay his taxes. Otto didn't understand, believing he was queuing for Metallica, and asked Kent about this. However, he didn't leave the line.[1]

Otto went to see a Metallica concert in 1995 at Springfield Arena. He saved Kirk Hammet's career who was about to quit the band until he was inspired by Otto. In a later year, Metallica's tour bus broke down on the roadside and Otto stopped the school bus to offer them a lift. Bart then drove off in the school bus. Metallica then got a lift with Hans Moleman, who used to sleep with Lars Ulrich's grandmother. They tell Otto to never listen to their music again before driving off.[2]
