Doris Troy was the clerk for Shotgun Pete's 24-Hour Wedding Chapel.

History[edit]

When Homer and Marge went to get married at Shotgun Pete's, Doris gave them their license and a punch card to use at every other wedding Homer was to have at Shotgun Pete's, with the tenth being free. Homer told Doris that his marriage was going to last forever, which made Doris laugh. Doris then played "Here Comes the Bride" on a synthesizer while Homer and Marge walked themselves down the aisle.[1]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Doris Troy's name is revealed on Homer and Marge's marriage certificate, as seen in The Simpsons Uncensored Family Album.
