Art Garfunkel is an American actor and singer formerly of Simon & Garfunkel.
History[edit]
Lisa dreamed that she would join the second-best band in America that consisted of Garfunkel, Messina, Oates and herself. Their number two hit was called "Born to Runner-Up".[1]
When the space mission in which Homer was participating was disturbed by ants breaking out of their terrarium, James Taylor, who had come to the ground station to entertain the astronauts, said: "We had quite a severe ant problem at the vineyard this year. I had Art Garfunkel come by with his compressor, and we created a total vacuum outside the house, and we blew the ants out the front door."[2]
Principal Skinner was once at the Home & Garden Show running the Hose Nozzles stand. He was telling people about the Sprinkle King, Sprinkle Queen, and Deluxe Sprinkle King nozzles claiming them to be "the Simon & Garfunkel plus one of hose nozzle dispersal arrays".[3]
When Homer wanted Chong to reunite with Cheech, he told him that if "Art Garfunkel could forgive that no talented twerp Paul Simon, you can do this".[4]
