The Monkees were an American pop group.

History[edit]

When Marge started school, she had a lunchbox with The Monkees on. A girl told her on the school bus that they don't write their own songs and play their own instruments. Marge thought that the girl was lying, so the girl pointed at the lunch box and said that's not even Michael Nesmith's real hat. That caused Marge to scream. Later, when she talked about it with Dr. Zweig, she said it was true. Zweig then said to Marge "The Monkees weren't about music, Marge. They were about rebellion, about political and social upheaval."[1]

The Monkees were seen in the Monkeemobile at the Hollywood Auto Museum.[2]
