Character Information
|
George C. Scott was an American actor with a distinguished career in both stage and screen.
History
George C. Scott appeared in a remake of Hans Moleman's short film, Man Getting Hit by Football, which Moleman had previously submitted to the Springfield Film Festival. In the original version of the film, Moleman said "Ow!" and doubled over in pain when the football hit him in the groin. In the remake, Scott said "Arrgh! My groin!" when he was hit, and then doubled over in pain.
The George C. Scott version of Man Getting Hit by Football won an Academy Award (category not specified), beating out A Burns for All Seasons (which had been Mr. Burns' entry in the film festival), in spite of Burns' "bribing everyone in Hollywood".
