After Ashlee Starling's fans, the Murmur Nation, had started attacking Homer, Echo had her fans kidnap Homer and bring him to Echo Studios so she could help him stop the attacks and get revenge against Ashlee Starling. Echo told Homer that she and Ashlee had a megastar feud with each other. When the next Murmur Nation attack on Homer happened, Echo's fans, the Echolaliacs, managed to stop it and chased the Murmur Nation off.
After Homer found out his whole family had taken part in hurting him, he went to stay with Echo and get her help in getting revenge. However, Echo told Homer that he shouldn't do that to his family and helped Homer make a song about how much he cared for his family instead.
