Springfield Town Hall, previously known as Springfield City Hall,[1] is where town meetings are held to discuss various issues, including taxing and improving Springfield. Such discussions include the Monorail, recent tremors, and general crazy ideas.
Meetings[edit]
- City officials held a meeting about the graffiti vandal known as "El Barto" and appealed for information from the public.[1]
- The city council later approved Homer Simpson's request to install a stop sign at the intersection of D Street and 12th Avenue.[1]

- Mayor Quimby held town hall meetings to address the approaching comet, where officials presented the threat and approved Professor Frink's plan to destroy it with a rocket.[6]
- Mayor Quimby convened a town meeting to discuss ways to attract more visitors to Springfield, with residents proposing ideas such as renaming the town to "Seinfeld" and searching for the Lost Dutchman's Mine before approving Marge Simpson's proposal to hold a film festival.[7]

Behind the Laughter[edit]
- Lance Wilder, the show's background design supervisor since season 2, modeled the building after the public library in his hometown of Chelmsford, Massachusetts.[9]
