| Location Information
The Springfield Episcopal Church is an Episcopal church in Springfield. It is located across the street from the First Church of Springfield.
Reverend Lovejoy has a long-standing dislike for and rivalry with the Springfield Episcopal Church. He once had a fund-raiser with the goal of "building a taller steeple than the one on that snooty Episcopal church across the street". On another occasion, Lovejoy lamented, "Our membership has been dwindling since those Episcopalians put in those vibrating pews."

Homer once thought that Lovejoy had skipped a Christmas service to attend the Episcopal church: "Maybe he's cheating on us with the Episcopalians." Homer then looked out the window at the Episcopal church and said, "Look at 'em with their bright, airy narthex and light, flaky Eucharist. I wouldn't mind dipping my hand in their font."
