Shøp (sometimes parsed as SHØP or Furniture Shop) is a Danish furniture super chain store located in Springfield and is known for their unique and unusual designs.[1] The mascot of the store is Allen Wrench, an anthropomorphic Allen Wrench who was apparently found inside a meteor. The store has a cafeteria where the forks are made out of LEGO.

History[edit]

The day of the store's inauguration, Barney crashed a Duff Blimp, and Amber Dempsey was struck by lightning just after becoming Little Miss Springfield.[2]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

  • Shøp is a parody of both the IKEA and STØR furniture stores. It first appeared in the episode "Lisa the Beauty Queen" where Scott Christian calls it a Danish super chain store. Despite being Danish, like IKEA, its logo uses the colors of the Swedish flag, yellow and blue, and Marge refers to "those Swedish furniture designer."
