==Biography==

'''William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton''' is the forty-second President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001.
He was the third-youngest president and became president at the end of the Cold War, and is known as the first baby boomer president, as he was born in the period after World War II. He is the husband of the junior United States Senator from the state of New York and a Democratic candidate in the 2008 US presidential election, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton was described as a New Democrat and was largely known for the Third Way philosophy of governance that came to epitomize his two terms as president. His policies, on issues such as the North American Free Trade Agreement, have been described as "centrist." Clinton presided over the longest period of peace-time economic expansion in American history, which included a balanced budget and a reported federal surplus. Clinton reported a surplus of $559 billion at the end of his presidency, based on Congressional accounting rules. His presidency was also quickly challenged. On the heels of a failed attempt at health care reform with a Democratic Congress, Republicans won control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. In his second term he was impeached by the U.S. House for perjury and obstruction of justice, but was subsequently acquitted by the United States Senate and completed his term. Polls of the American electorate taken at this time showed that up to 70% were against pursuing the allegations. (N Y Times December 21, 1998).

William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton is the forty-second President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001.

History[edit]

In the '90s, a young Homer Simpson said that there would never be a president worse than Bill Clinton, saying that lying in a deposition in a civil lawsuit is the worst sin a president could commit.[1]

Homer called Bill Clinton to ask him if he knew how he could get some Tang.[2]

Bill Clinton once answered Lisa Simpson's complaint about a band contest, in which the Springfield Elementary School Band was beaten by the band of Ogdenville school which used an illegal tactic, using visual aids. President Clinton said that he thought their tactic was wrong so overturned the results of the competition personally, giving the prize to Springfield Elementary. He then said he wanted to teach kids a lesson to complain until things go their way. When Marge pointed out that was a lousy lesson, President Clinton said he was a lousy president.[3]

Bill Clinton made jokes at a potential investors meeting at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.[4]

He was arrested and imprisoned along with the Simpsons family, The Dixie Chicks and Elmo in Alcatraz Island after Springfield implemented the Government Knows Best Act.[5]

Some time later during the 2008 Election Primaries in Springfield, he was forced to put up signs supporting his wife Hillary, who was running for president.[6]

When Superintendent Chalmers was tutoring Bart in American history and showed him an illustration depicting all of the Presidents, Clinton was one of the few that Bart could identify, referring to him as "sex guy".[7]

A bust of Bill Clinton was seen at the Hillfolk in Media exhibit at the Hillbilly Pica-ture Palace.[8]

He is one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[9]

Bill Clinton was running against Bob Dole in the 1996 presidential election. Shortly before the election, Kang and Kodos started to invade Earth and abducted Clinton and Dole before assuming their identities. The two of them then continued their campaigns until they were eventually unmasked by Homer. However, since the American democracy system is basically a two-party system, the people had to vote for one of them and Kang won.[10]

During Lisa Simpson's term as President, it was revealed that Clinton had kept a stash of pornographic videos at Camp David. The collection was in a large box labeled "Girlies What Ain't Got No Clothes", and Bart's friends went through it when they were supposed to be helping Bart with a "coolness report" to present to Lisa.[11]
