Dr. Swartzwelder is a scientist.

History

Dr. Swartzwelder appeared on WZEN News where he was interviewed about Radioactive Man. Dr. Swartzwelder said that he thought Radioactive Man was a shared delusion by the people of Zenith City who just wanted to believe they were being protected by someone. After the interview, Gloria invited him back on the show at a later point.

When Radioactive Man got more attention and became publicly known, Dr. Swartzwelder sent Gloria some flowers and a card, with the card saying that he wanted to discuss how Radioactive Man is a menace. After Gloria was kidnapped by Silly Sailor, Dr. Swartzwelder went on WZEN News without her. This time, he spoke about how Radioactive Man was leaving harmful radiation everywhere he went. However, this broadcast was stopped by Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy, who then reveal him to be Dr. Clownius in disguise.

Behind the Laughter

Dr. Swartzwelder is named after former The Simpsons writer and producer John Swartzwelder.
