Arnold Palmer is an American professional golfer.

History

When a yo-yo craze hit Springfield Elementary School, Bart proved to be very good at yo-yo tricks. Homer told Marge that soon he would be able to quit his job and "live off the boy", but Marge challenged him to name one person who had gotten rich by doing yo-yo tricks. After considering Palmer, Donald Trump and Bill Cosby, Homer realized to his chagrin that there wasn't any such person.[1]

Homer, Lenny and Carl were all playing with water guns filled with iced tea and lemonade, which together make the Arnold Palmer drink, which was named after Arnold Palmer.[2]

Palmer is one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[3]

Behind the Laughter

The same day "Monty Burns' Fleeing Circus" aired, Arnold Palmer died. The episode included a reference to the drink named after him.
