History

I.M. Redd was trying to find a cure for his fingers locking up in unusual gestures, but science couldn't solve it. Redd went looking for supernatural solutions to his ailment and found some Ancient Saurian Scrolls in a curio shop in Tibet. Redd bought the scrolls and went back to the USA where he deciphered them in his spare time at Dr. Peters' lab. One day, Redd read out an incantation aloud and accidentally summoned Roargo, a giant lizard monster. Roargo went rampaging through Zenith City and I.M. Redd was arrested by the police.

Behind the Laughter

I.M. Redd's origin story is similar to that of Doctor Strange from Marvel Comics.
