At a superhero themed pub crawl, Homer dressed as The Thing.^[2]

Comic Book Guy has bookends of The Thing and The Hulk.^[3]^[4]

On Comic Book Guy's list of greatest quotes of all time is "It's clobberin' time!" by The Thing.^[5]
