He was announced as a "gay robot from Star Wars" in a wrestling match with R2-D2 against the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica. He was getting beaten badly. He then asks R2 to save him but R2 goes away instead, causing C-3PO to state that he hates him.[1]
Someone also dresses up as C-3PO at a Sci-Fi convention.[2]
C-3PO appeared on the poster for Star Wars Episode VII: The Apology.[3]
A figure of C-3PO is in Comic Book Guy's apartment.[4]
