History

When Grampa starting tell a story about a Christmas on Simpsons Mountain was he was young he had a mother called Olidia Simpson.

Behind the Laughter

She is a parody of Olivia Walton from the TV show The Waltons. She also becomes parodies of other major mom characters on old TV shows including Carol Brady from The Brady Bunch, Shirley Partridge from The Partridge Family and June Cleaver from Leave It to Beaver.
