Sarah Wiggum (née Kanneke[1]) is the soft wife of Clancy and mother of Ralph. Her personality has been established by mainly her actions and emotions more then dialog, and these details have shown that she is a sweet, loving, and elated women. She is most often seen in crowds or in gatherings such as mom groups hosted by Marge [3] [4]

Meeting Clancy
Clancy mentioned that she was more beautiful at the Jellyfish festival dance than the day he arrested her. She giggled and blushed in reply. He then mentioned that he only planted crystal meth on her so she would "notice" him since he was too shy to go up to her and ask to go out with her and later marry her, despite Sarah not doing drugs or doing any crime.[5]

In an out-of-continuity episode, in which various supporting characters get spin-offs, one has Sarah's marriage to Clancy eventually dissolves and they get a divorce. He gets custody of Ralph and moves to New Orleans.
In a recent episode which is set in a separate universe then where the show actually takes place in[2], Sarah got a personality and voice change, as well as a backstory for just the plot of this episode. She speaks awkwardly and can't piece two words together and acts rather oddly, until she takes a swig of whiskey before loosening up and then talking in a more cocky snob like voice (Which is until the end of the episode) with Marge about the field trip sucking and what its like being married to Clancy, before being kidnapped along with Marge by two of Sarah's former partners, and then Sarah explains the past of herself then turns into this all the sudden "badass" chick which used to be a thief, along with her partners Bette, Erin, and Lindsey Naegle. Then on a jewel robbery, the way Clancy and Sarah met was changed to Sarah meeting Clancy, who was a security guard at the building they were robbing, not a cop like in the actual universe of the show when he actually met her.
Sarah then distracted Clancy, but also fell in love with him. Lindsey Naegle turned on her partners and got them arrested and made off with the jewels, including the hourglass diamond. Since Sarah was distracted with Clancy at the time, she managed to get away. Then it jumps back to the present and they all decide to get all the stolen items back at the Gen Gala. This episode also shows in the beginning that Sarah is "quiet", "Has no personality", and has disdain from the other mothers of Springfield, as well as not being friends with Marge and others. Where as in the actual universe, she has been friends with Marge for a long time as she has been seen in groups hosted by Marge [3] [4], as well as the other mothers that had dislike for her in this episode also being in the same group and also are friends with Sarah. And Sarah isn't quiet or awkward, she speaks normally just like how everyone else does with her southern like voice, we just don't see her speak much on screen, but she is not quiet or overlooked. And she has been seen to have pretty caring and soft emotions and actions like a lot of the other mothers of Springfield which is what established her personality which none of that in the episode.

Trivia
- She tries out for Poochie's voice for The Itchy and Scratchy Show,but this takes place off screen.[6]
- Clancy's pet name for her is "Poppin Fresh" based on the Pillsbury Doughboy.[7]
- In a one off throw away joke by Ralph, he said: "You look like my mommy after her box of wine". But there is no evidence of Sarah being an alcoholic since she is never been seen drinking alcohol such as at Moe's or in other appearances, or ever drinking alcohol. But in Tapped Out, game producers went back on this joke and implemented to Sarah in the game with tasks such as drinking boxed wine and drinking at Moe's, as well as saying to Apu she attends AA meetings when she goes to the Kwik E Mart after cutting Ralph's hair. But this is non canon. In the show and in the actual universe and not out of universe episodes, she has never been seen drinking alcohol.
